Quick Service Restaurant
Quick Service Restaurants, or QSR for short, are a type of restaurant with counter service to ensure quick service, like a fast food restaurant. Typically customers order and pick up their food at the same counter and are not prompted for tips on the receipt. These credit card transactions are primarily face-to-face, card-present-transactions, but are still allowed a small number of keyed-in transactions, such as telephone to-go orders. If you are a QSR and would like to include a tip line, you would choose either Restaurant or Retail with Tip as a business type to accommodate your unique business needs.
Your establishment is a QSR if:
- Customer orders and picks up their food.
- Customers are NOT prompted for tips.
- Face-to-face & card-present transactions.
- Some keyed-in transactions allowed.
